Lost-and-found to charity in Ethiopia!

Left your favorite pants at a hockey camp last summer? Still wondering what happened to your lost hockey stick? Don’t worry: you have made these children in Ethiopia very happy!
Last December all lost property items were picked up by Elbrich Jorritsma. She works as a volunteer at Alemachen; a convalescent home for disabled children, who require medical treatment in Addis Abeba. The children, in the age group from 5 to 12, come from very poor families in the Ethiopian countryside or from the slums in Addis Ababa. After medical treatment, children with arms or legs in plaster are in great need of loose fitting clothing. All left items of the 2011 hockey camps have found a great destiny this way and resulted in big smiles on the faces of the children!
