Train with the best

With over 22 years of experience, SportWays is the oldest and most successful organizer of hockey camps in Europe. Over this period of time, we have arranged field-hockey camps in the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, England, France, Africa and the USA and are the official partner of the European Hockey Federation. Every summer over 2000 hockey players participate in our residential camps and many more in our clinics and tours. We only work with the best national and international players and coaches, the best hockey facilities and a vastly experienced team of staff & trainers. The camps are international with participants and staff from all over the world. Alongside our well-known hockey camps, SportWays also organises specialised goalie camps. The language of communication used in our camps is both Dutch and English with French also used in Antwerp.

Quality and Experience

SportWays’ emphasis is on quality. This encompasses both our hockey programme and the social events at our residential camps. Fun & Learning are the main characteristics of all SportWays camps and years of experience in both our organisation and our staff is a solid base for success. Each year the training programmes are developed by Dutch premier league coaches, players and the technical staff of various national teams to focus on the latest developments in hockey. This way the participants are guaranteed to learn the very latest techniques in the sport. We distinguish ourselves by paying maximum attention to the individual player and it is our mission that a SportWays camp should be a special experience for each participant, regardless of his or her level of ability.

Top staff, players and coaches

Top players and coaches exclusively appear at our camps. These professional trainers, experienced in coaching and managing young players, supervise all SportWays camps. This year, Paul van Ass (the Dutch national coach), his assistant Thomas Tichelman as well as Martijn Drijver (the Dutch national goalie coach) were all involved in the creation of our 2012 technical program.

Unique locations and sporting facilities

All our sports facilities are top class. In Amsterdam we are guests at the national training centre of the Royal Dutch Hockey Association (KNHB) with 7 sand-based and 6 water-based pitches (Wagener stadium). In Barcelona we use the outstanding facilities of Atlètic Terrassa Hockey Club with 2 water-based pitches, a sand-based pitch, tennis and pàdel courts and a swimming pool. In Antwerp we will be staying at the Royal Herakles Hockey Club with 2 water-based pitches and extensive sports facilities, which will guarantee a great hockey experience. In Amsterdam, Antwerp and Barcelona players sleep in professional tents. Only during the EHF Excellence Hockey Camp Barcelona players will sleep in an indoor hall. A professional catering company prepares all our meals.
