SportWho?

SportWays is the oldest and most experienced hockey camps organiser in the world! In 2012 we will celebrate our 23rd birthday, with more than 2000 partcipants in attendance! A long time ago, a man named Thomas (trainer of the Dutch National Men's team) played with the idea of organising hockey camps for kids and began with a modest 64 children in Amsterdam. Now, we have grown to over 10 camps in Amsterdam (AH&BC, Pinoké and Hurley) and more than 6 camps in other countries! Since 1995 SportWays became a partner of the EHF (European Hockey Federation) and together we have been to many countries around Europe, organising high level camps and clinics. These destinations include: Dublin, Cambridge, Kalmar (Sweden), Zagreb, Siauliai (Lithuania), Albena, Venice, Paris, Brussels, Barcelona and Antwerp! Of these locations, Antwerp and Barcelona became consistent camp locations. Besides player camps, SportWays also organizes goalie camps guided by Martijn Drijver (Goalie trainer of the Dutch National team) and his very experienced Staff. These camps can be found both in Amsterdam as in Antwerp. For the youngest kids (6-10) SportWays organises SW Kids throughout the Netherlands. These are day camps during the normal School Holidays. Finally, SportWays organises clinics everywhere around the planet, simply with stick and ball or complete with The Zone: we can be found almost everywhere! SportWays invests a lot of time in education and development of our "voluntary" Staff. This enables our Staff to create, together with international top players and our participants, a unique sport and social experience!

Our philosophy

Our philosophy is based on the fact that we believe that every individual participant is coming to our camps to party, make friends and improve their hockey skills. It's our job to create a safe environment to make that possible. Respect for everything and everybody, integrity in all you do and love & passion for (hockey) sport are essential values for us. Our unique DNA! We use these values in all we do, towards Staff as well as the participants; everybody wants to grow, likes to learn something new. It's our mission to help making that happen! This is why we use 'Fun and Learning' as a theme for all our camps.
